Navigating the challenges of life can be overwhelming. Whether you're struggling with ADHD related challenges, anxiety, depression, or stress, I'm here to help. My name is Elspeth Campbell, and I specialise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to support you in managing your mental health effectively. I work in a trauma informed way to ensure you feel safe and supported throughout your journey.
My Approach
With empathy and compassion at the core of my practice, I provide a supportive and warm space where you can feel heard and understood. I am committed to using evidence based techniques that enhance emotional wellbeing and self awareness.
My Mission
I believe that everyone deserves to thrive. My mission is to empower you to navigate the challenges of life with confidence and resilience. Together, we'll work on improving your emotional wellbeing, helping you achieve a more balanced and fulfilling life.
How I Work
Working in private practice as a CBT Therapist and ADHD coach, I support individuals and parents impacted by mental health challenges and ADHD by integrating my background in mental health, wellness and coaching into my therapy. I act as a partner to help you to understand yourself better and find more helpful ways of coping by incorporating mindfulness and self compassion so that you feel empowered to move forward with your life.
ADHD
I understand the challenges that come with having ADHD - I am mum to a child with ADHD and through this experience and coaching, I have developed a passion for helping others navigate the complexities that come with an ADHD diagnosis.
Living in East Lothian, I enjoy spending time outdoors, with family, friends and my cat Thomas. I spend my free time doing CrossFit, walking, meditation and reading.
After graduating from the Centre of Therapy and Counselling Studies in Edinburgh with a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy & Groupwork, I went on to earn a professional certification as an ADHD coach at the highly acclaimed and accredited ADHD & Life Coach Training Program (ADDCA). I’ve been working in the field of mental health since 2018 as a mental health support worker and perinatal befriender and accredited with the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
Accreditation demonstrates a therapist's personal commitment to meeting the high standards set by The National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society in the following areas - governance, setting standards, education and training, managing the register, providing information, and complaints.
NCPS accreditation allows me to offer the highest quality, evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), with commitment to providing effective therapeutic interventions.
